Most sound system rentals in Austin hand you speakers and wish you luck. A speaker on a stick is not a sound system. What makes an event sound good is the whole signal chain — and somebody who has set it up a thousand times.
Every rental is specced to your headcount, your venue and your source. Tell us it's a DJ in a 200-person warehouse or a six-piece band on a ranch and you get two very different rigs.

Headcount is the starting point, not the answer. Outdoors with no walls to reflect energy back, the same crowd needs noticeably more system than it would inside. Live drums need more than a laptop. Here's the honest starting map — send us the details and we'll spec it properly.

How much does a sound system rental cost in Austin?
It depends on system size, how long you need it, whether you want delivery and setup, and how far outside Austin you are. Send us the date, headcount and venue type and you get a real number back — not a range designed to get you on the phone.
Do you deliver and set up the sound system?
Yes. Delivery, setup, tuning and teardown are available on every rental, and for anything larger than a small party we strongly recommend it. A system that is set up wrong sounds worse than a smaller system set up right.
How far outside Austin will you travel?
Austin is home base and we regularly travel out from there — Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, San Marcos, Dripping Springs, Bastrop, Waco, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas. Have sound, will travel. Ask about anything further out.
Do I need to hire a sound engineer too?
If you have a DJ with their own controller and one stereo input, usually not. If you have a live band, multiple acts, wireless mics or monitors, yes — and it is the highest-value line item on the invoice. We can supply the engineer.
How big a crowd can your system cover?
The full Turbosound Floodlight system is rated to comfortably cover roughly 1,000 people. Smaller events get a scaled-down configuration of the same system, so a 100-person party still gets high-fidelity touring gear rather than entry-level powered boxes.
Is outdoor sound different from indoor?
Very. Indoors, walls and ceilings reflect sound energy back toward the crowd. Outdoors that energy just leaves, so the same headcount typically needs meaningfully more system — especially low end. Always tell us if your event is outdoors.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as you can. This is one system, and spring and fall weekend dates in Central Texas go first. If you have a date, lock it in — the details can be finalized later.
