Low frequencies take enormous physical energy to reproduce. A pair of full-range tops on sticks will happily give you vocals and guitars, then quietly give up somewhere around 70Hz — which is where kick drums, bass lines and the entire bottom half of dance music live.
The result is an event that technically has sound and still feels flat. Adding subwoofers is usually the cheapest single change that makes an event feel professional, and it's the one people cut first to save money.
Reinforce
You have tops that sound fine until the room fills. Add subs and processing to the system you already own or rented, integrated properly instead of just plugged in.

Two subs placed well beat four placed badly. This is the part rental counters don't do — and it costs nothing extra when we set the system up.
Corners Are Loud
Boundaries reinforce low frequencies. A sub against a wall behaves very differently from one in open space — sometimes better, sometimes muddier.
Spread vs. Stacked
Splitting subs left and right looks tidy and often cancels power in the middle of the dance floor. Sometimes centered and stacked is the right answer.
Alignment
Subs and tops have to arrive at the audience together. Get the timing wrong and you lose exactly the frequencies you paid to add.
Neighbors + Curfew
Low frequencies travel furthest and cause the complaints. We can aim the low end at your crowd and away from the property line.

Can I rent just subwoofers in Austin?
Yes. Plenty of people already own or have rented full-range tops and only need low end added. We can supply subs on their own with the processing and cabling to integrate them, or bring the complete system if it is easier.
How many subwoofers do I need?
It depends on headcount, indoors versus outdoors, and what kind of music. As a rough starting point: a small indoor party can work with one, a 150 to 300 person room wants two or more, and outdoor dance events want as much as the budget allows. Outdoors always needs more.
Will your subs work with my existing speakers?
Usually yes. What matters is crossover and processing — the subs need to be handed the right frequency range and time-aligned with your tops, or the two fight each other and you end up with less low end than you started with. We handle that on setup.
Why do I need subs outdoors if the event is small?
Outdoors there are no walls, floors or ceilings to reinforce low frequencies, so bass energy simply dissipates. An outdoor event routinely needs more subwoofer than an indoor event with the same headcount. It is the single most common under-spec we see.
Do you deliver and place the subwoofers?
Yes, and placement is most of the value. Sub position relative to walls, stage and dance floor changes the low end far more than adding another box does. We place, align and tune them as part of setup.
Can I get subs for a wedding or corporate event?
Definitely. Weddings especially — the reception dance floor is where a wedding either lands or does not, and it almost always comes down to whether anyone rented low end. Speech and ceremony audio is a separate, smaller spec.
