The Killeen-Temple metropolitan area had an estimated 497,089 residents at the start of 2024, and Bell County alone counted roughly 393,193 people in 2023, with more than 49,000 veterans among them. Killeen sits about 70 miles north of Austin, an hour and fifteen minutes or so up I-14 and I-35.

The area is defined by Fort Hood, the Army post the region grew around. The post was renamed Fort Cavazos in 2023 and formally returned to the name Fort Hood on July 28, 2025, now honoring Col. Robert B. Hood, according to the Army. It is one of the largest single-site employers in Texas, which means the surrounding cities have a steady rhythm of ceremonies, homecomings, unit gatherings, weddings and celebrations.

Prices cover a 4 to 5 hour event with delivery within 15 minutes of downtown Austin, setup and breakdown. Killeen is beyond that zone, so $2 per mile (one way) is added, and you see one total before you pay a deposit. A front-of-house sound engineer is $75 an hour with a four-hour minimum.

3. A 50% deposit locks the date. You receive a receipt, then an invoice for the balance due on the day.
4. We arrive early, set up, tune and soundcheck, then break down and drive home.
