If you are hosting a party, pop-up or after-party during Austin’s F1 weekend, book your sound as early as possible and plan on double our standard price. For our F1 weekend window, October 22 to 25, 2026, the Let’s Rumble package is $2,000 and the Earthquake package is $3,200, both before sales tax and any delivery mileage. Those are the two packages we offer online for those dates.
This guide explains why the pricing works this way, which package fits which crowd, and what to decide before you reach out.
How F1 weekend pricing works
Most weekends we publish one price per package. A few weekends each year, demand is high enough that we price differently. F1 weekend is one of them. For October 22 to 25, 2026, the premium rate is two times the standard package price.
| Package | Standard price | F1 weekend price | Crowd it is built for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Let’s Rumble | $1,000 | $2,000 | Up to about 1,000 people |
| Earthquake | $1,600 | $3,200 | Up to about 2,000 people, maximum low end |
Both prices are before Texas sales tax (8.25% in Austin and most surrounding cities) and before mileage if your venue is outside our included delivery zone. Each package includes delivery within 15 minutes of downtown Austin, plus setup and breakdown.
Our two smaller packages, Getting Bumping and Bit More Bass, are not part of online booking for those dates. If your party is smaller, send us the details through the booking page or ask about a custom quote. A crowd of 100 people on a premium weekend is better served by a conversation than by a checkout button.
Why we price this weekend differently
Plain answer: the same equipment can be booked for a much larger number of paying jobs than it can on an ordinary Saturday, and the weekend is physically busy. Trucks, crew and setup windows are all tighter. A premium rate lets us keep the schedule honest and not overbook a date.
We would rather tell you the price up front than quote a normal number and then run short on a day when everyone in town wants a stack of speakers.
Pick the package by crowd, not by the name
Let’s Rumble is six dual 18” horn-loaded subs and four 3-way Turbosound Floodlight tops. It is the right size for a crowd up to about 1,000 people. It suits a large patio party, a warehouse after-party or a brand event with a stage.
Earthquake adds four dual 21” subs on top of that for maximum low end, and it is sized for up to about 2,000 people. Choose it if the event is a dance event first, or the crowd is spread out over a large lot.
If you are not sure which side of the line you fall on, remember that outdoor crowds need more system than the same crowd indoors. Our guide on how many speakers an outdoor party needs walks through the sizing, and how to choose a PA system covers the rest.
What to decide before you contact us
- The exact date and set time. The setup window matters more on a busy weekend, so tell us when the doors open and when the first act or DJ starts.
- The address. Delivery is included within 15 minutes of downtown Austin. Beyond that, mileage is $2 per mile one way, added to the balance.
- Indoors or outdoors. An outdoor lot needs a different layout than a ballroom.
- Who is running the system. If a touring DJ or band is bringing their own gear, you may need less than you think. If nobody is, ask about a sound engineer.
- Power. Ask your venue what is available and where. We would rather solve it a week out than at load-in.
What is included, and what is not
Included with each package: delivery within 15 minutes of downtown Austin, setup and breakdown. Not included unless you add it: a front-of-house sound engineer, mileage beyond the included zone, and sales tax. A longer event than a standard 4 to 5 hour music event is quoted separately.
Our sound system rental cost guide shows the standard prices for the rest of the year, if you want to compare.
How to lock the date
You can see open dates and book online on our booking page. The 50% deposit locks your date and is non-refundable. If you need to change the date, we will move your deposit to another open date. The remaining 50%, plus any mileage, is due on the day of the event.
A date is held for 30 minutes while you are in checkout. If you need something that is not a standard package, such as multiple rooms or a multi-day setup, reach out first and we will quote it.
About ACL weekends
For 2026, ACL weekends are at our normal rates. F1 weekend is the one with the premium. If your event falls near both, check the date you actually need on the booking page and it will show the price for that day.
Who we are

Quick
answers.
Do you rent sound systems for Austin F1 weekend parties?
Yes. For our F1 weekend window, October 22 to 25, 2026, the Let's Rumble and Earthquake packages can be booked online. Smaller jobs and custom setups are handled by request.
How much does sound system rental cost on F1 weekend?
Prices on those dates are double our standard rate. Let's Rumble is $2,000 instead of $1,000 and Earthquake is $3,200 instead of $1,600, before sales tax and any delivery mileage.
Is the deposit refundable if my F1 weekend plans change?
The 50% deposit locks your date and is non-refundable. If you need to change the date, we will move your deposit to another open date.
How far ahead should I book for F1 weekend?
As early as you can. Online booking needs at least 2 days of notice, but a premium weekend with a crowd of hundreds is the wrong time to be the last one asking.
Can I add a sound engineer for the weekend?
Yes. A front-of-house sound engineer is $75 an hour with a 4-hour minimum plus a 1-hour soundcheck at standard rates. Our F1 weekend multiplier applies to the engineer add-on too.
