Wimberley is a Hays County town about 38 miles southwest of Austin and 58 miles northeast of San Antonio, incorporated in 2000. The 2020 census counted 2,839 residents. It is small, scenic and busy with visitors.

We are Mo’Pro Crew, an Austin sound and production company with 30 years in live sound. Packages: Getting Bumping $600, Bit More Bass $800, Let’s Rumble $1,000, Earthquake $1,600, each a Turbosound Floodlight rig with horn-loaded subs for a 4 to 5 hour event. Wimberley is well past the free Austin zone, so add $2 per mile one way, about $76.

Blue Hole and Cypress Creek

Cypress Creek runs through Wimberley Square and the Blanco River flows through town. Blue Hole Regional Park has a swimming area, a pavilion and a swim lawn that can be reserved for weddings and parties, and it hosts a free Concerts in the Park series on Friday nights in April. Water and cypress trees change how sound behaves: bass rolls out over open water, so we aim speakers away from the swimming hole and keep the low end controlled. The city’s parks department sets the rules.

Wimberley Market Days

Market Days, held on the first Saturday of the month from March through December, brings about 490 booths onto 20 shaded acres and is called the largest outdoor market in the Texas Hill Country. The Wimberley Lions Club runs it. Guests stay in town for the weekend, so private parties tend to cluster around it; book early.

The Square and the museum

Wimberley Square, with its limestone facades, and the Wimberley Valley Museum give the center a rustic look. Small events on the square need a compact PA kept low.

Trail of Lights and the lighted parade

The Trail of Lights at the EmilyAnn Theatre & Gardens fills about eight acres for the holidays, with a nightly yule log, and Wimberley’s Lighted Parade runs at 6 p.m. with glowing floats. Holiday parties nearby work with a clear voice system and warm background music.

Wimberley Glassworks

Wimberley Glassworks, a hand-blown glass studio since 1992, offers free glassblowing demonstrations and seasonal events such as its glass pumpkin patch. Private events at the studio follow its own rules.

Jacob’s Well and Mount Old Baldy

Jacob’s Well, Blue Hole and the 208-step climb up Mount Old Baldy Park draw visitors year-round, and the Wimberley Zipline has 10 lines. Group outings and retreats often want a portable PA for announcements; we can provide a compact rig.

Wineries, breweries and glamping

Wimberley is home to wineries, breweries and distilleries, and to glamping stays such as Yurtopian’s Mongolian yurts. Retreats and weddings in remote spots need power and access sorted in advance. Tell us what you have when you book.
