Cedar Park is about 16 miles northwest of downtown Austin, mostly in Williamson County with a small piece in Travis County. The 2020 census counted 77,595 residents, and US 183 runs north to south through the middle of the city.

Life around the H-E-B Center
The H-E-B Center at Cedar Park opened in 2009 as a multipurpose arena and is home to the Texas Stars hockey team and the Austin Spurs basketball team. It is also where a lot of Cedar Park’s group plans start: watch parties, post-game gatherings and birthday parties for people who came in from a game. If you are hosting near the arena, your event is on private property or a reserved space, and the arena’s own grounds are governed by the arena.

Timberwolves, Rangers and school events
Cedar Park High School and Vista Ridge High School anchor the community, and Cedar Park High School is the only Texas high school to have won UIL state titles in both band and football in the same year (2015). Band banquets, athletic boosters and senior nights need clear announcements and a music feed for the room, which is a lighter setup than a party rig. Ask the school what outside equipment is allowed on campus.
Cypress Creek and the ACC campus
Austin Community College has its Cypress Creek campus in Cedar Park. Department events and graduation receptions are small and indoor: two tops, wireless mics and a laptop input, no subs needed. If you are unsure what your room can take, send us the space and headcount and we will say so.
Community events in town
The city’s calendar includes the Heritage Festival, a summer concert series and Splash Jam. Those are city-run events. If you are hosting a private party on the same weekend, tell us early: setup crews and street closures can affect load-in.
The Wilson-Leonard site and Cedar Park Depot
The Cedar Park Depot and the Wilson-Leonard archaeological site are two local landmarks that give the city a history older than its subdivisions. Small history-themed gatherings and community meetings usually need only a portable PA and a couple of wireless mics, not a full rig.
Getting to Cedar Park
US 183 is the main road through the city, and the 183A toll road, which opened in March 2007, runs beside it as a bypass. RM 1431 (Whitestone Boulevard) and Cypress Creek Road cross town east to west. We route around game nights and rush hour when we schedule load-in.
