Leander is about 22 miles northwest of downtown Austin, in Williamson and Travis counties. The 2020 census counted 59,202 people, and a 2025 estimate put it near 91,000, a jump that follows a national headline: Leander was the fastest-growing city in the United States between 2018 and 2019.

That growth explains most of the bookings we get here: new neighborhoods full of first-year parties, plus an Old Town district that is getting its own events.

Sound system rental in Leander

We are Mo’Pro Crew, an Austin sound and production company with 30 years in live sound. Our packages are Turbosound Floodlight tops over horn-loaded subs, priced at $600 (Getting Bumping), $800 (Bit More Bass), $1,000 (Let’s Rumble) and $1,600 (Earthquake) for a 4 to 5 hour event. Leander is past our free delivery zone, so delivery is $2 a mile one way, around $44 from Austin.

New neighborhoods, first parties

When a subdivision fills up, the first year is a run of housewarmings, block parties and birthdays. Lots in newer developments are often tight, with neighbors close on both sides, so the goal is a system that sounds full at a low level. Old Town Leander

Old Town Leander is the historic district, and it hosts the city’s Old Town Christmas Festival on the first Saturday of December, with the Rudolph Run 5K, school performances, vendors and the lighting of a 60-foot Christmas tree. The Old Town Street Festival brings live music, a 5K and local vendors in summer. These are city events. The Fourth of July and the Mason Homestead

Leander’s parks department runs a Fourth of July celebration with live music and fireworks, and an annual fall festival takes place at the Mason Homestead. Community events like these are why groups such as churches and clubs book us for their own gatherings right before or after: a Getting Bumping rig with two wireless mics covers a lot of ground.

History you can stand on

Leander Presbyterian Church, built in 1884, and Davis Cemetery, which holds a 1936 marker over the Webster Massacre mass grave, are among the sites that show how old the area is. The Leanderthal Lady, a skeleton 10,000 to 13,000 years old, was found here too. Small ceremonies and community gatherings at historic sites need a clean, quiet PA: two speakers and a wireless mic, kept low.

The commuter rail town

Leander Station is the CapMetro rail terminus, with a Park and Ride, so many residents commute into Austin and hold events on weekends. For that reason we schedule setup for the morning or early afternoon, before the evening rush on US 183.

Getting to Leander

US 183 and RM 2243 (Leander Parkway) are the two main roads. Leander sits between Cedar Park to the south and Liberty Hill to the north, so a single trip often covers a neighbor as well. Georgetown and Round Rock are the next stops east.
