Round Rock’s nickname is “Sports Capital of Texas,” and the calendar backs it up: Dell Diamond is home to the Round Rock Express, the Triple-A baseball team, and Old Settlers Park holds baseball and softball complexes, soccer fields, cricket, disc golf, cross country courses and an aquatic center. Old Settlers Park and the Fourth of July
Old Settlers Park is also where the city’s Frontier Days celebration happens on July 4, including a recreation of the “Sam Bass Shootout,” and where the city stages its holiday Light Up the Lake festival with live music on a lakeside stage. Those are organized events with their own production teams and permits. Old Town and downtown Round Rock
The Old Town historic district is the city’s original center, and Main Street is where the annual Christmas Family Night and the Chalk Walk Arts Festival take over downtown. Private events near Old Town, like a rehearsal dinner or a block party, are mostly small and sit close to buildings, so we keep levels modest, point speakers away from windows and rely on tuning instead of volume.
Dell and the corporate calendar
Dell’s headquarters is in Round Rock, alongside IKEA and a long list of other employers, so the city has a steady stream of company events: all-hands meetings, holiday parties, product days and sales kickoffs. Campuses in town
Round Rock has campuses of Texas State University, Austin Community College and the Texas A&M Health Science Center. Getting to Round Rock
Round Rock is on I-35, with US 79 running east through town, and the SH 45 and SH 130 toll roads on its edges. That matters for load-in: we plan the route around your address and event time, not just the mileage. Hutto is seven miles east down US 79, so Hutto jobs are a short hop from here too.
